Mustard Seed Relief Mission
About Us
Mustard Seed Relief Mission is an Eastbourne based charity supplying humanitarian aid to refugees, orphans and displaced persons, mostly to Bosnia, Croatia, Romania and the Ukraine. The charity began in1992 at the beginning of the Balkan war and the charity has maintained a continuous flow of aid since that time.
All the goods transported have been donated, or purchased with funds donated by individuals and organisations.
When not engaged in aid work, members of the team solicit funds and support by giving talks, slide shows and video presentations, and by organising local fund raising events.
In addition to routine humanitarian aid, each Christmas since 1992 the charity has operated the ‘Love in a box’ appeal, in which people throughout the country are invited to pack shoeboxes with Christmas gifts for children. These are then loaded and transported to areas of need. Over the past 15 years an average of 50,000 shoeboxes each year have been given to an under privileged child.
